Unique soil for excellent wines
After years of trials and refinements, Luciano Vivolo now produces “tailor-made” wines that whisper strong aromas and tell a story, designed to be meditation wines.
The international grape varieties including Souvignier Gris, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon are registering brand new expressions: special ageing properties due to the good acidity and a special aromaticity due to the soil and climate characteristics.
The abundance of sand and sandstone gives the wine a very fine, typical aroma with spicy overtones.
Sustainable viticulture
We chose a dry, ventilated area, with consistently cool soils that retain water deep down, so as not to create water stress during summer and risk burning the aromatic part of the grapes. All the rows are grassed over and water evaporation is reduced, to make it available to the plant in the periods when it is most needed, maintaining adequate strength of the leaf apparatus that shades the bunches by nourishing them.
The grape harvest is a ritual undertaken every year with respect, kindness and patience, symbolised by the manual picking of the grapes. Each grape is selected to ensure a high quality end product. It is an art form that instils the value of time. Each bottle contains the history of the land and the dedication of the people who harvested and vinified it.
